Aerial Magnetometry Scanning for Oil and Gas
Airborne magnetometry provides an efficient way to identify ferrous metal anomalies across large areas in the oil and gas industry. Using highly sensitive airborne sensors, surveys can detect magnetic signatures associated with buried pipelines, well casings, steel infrastructure, and other ferrous materials, and estimate depth below surfaces of detected anomalies.
Airborne magnetic surveys can support the identification of previously undocumented or abandoned infrastructure, including in remote and challenging terrain. The resulting magnetic data can be used to map potential targets and prioritize areas for further investigation, helping streamline field operations and reduce the time required for ground-based searches.
Hover Visions is proud to be a partner with the Osage Tribal Nation during their efforts to locate, document and remediate abandoned oil and gas wells on Osage Tribal Lands.
