Image Data Capture
Aerial Drone imagery assists investors in monitoring oil reserves and distillate storage capacities, offering an edge in predicting price movements and market dynamics. Capture of image data is performed with a sensor that combines the use of thermal imagery and high resolution RGB imagery. By integrating machine learning and geospatial analysis, firms can assess asset performance, detect anomalies, and make data-driven investment decisions with greater accuracy.
We are proud to be the image data supplier to 4 of the 5 largest data analytics firms in the world. Currently we collect image data in the Cushing, Oklahoma area (crude oil storage) and in the New Jersey/New York bay area (distillates storage). If you are looking at image data such as this from other locations, we are interested in meeting your needs with a specialized group of qualified pilots nationwide.
In this image, fixed roof crude oil storage tanks do not provide an indication of how much crude is on hand at the time of capture. This entire area is occupied by 47 fixed roof tanks capable of 4.2 million barrels of storage on site. Some data analytic firms will use “modeling” to provide information based on a “guess” and not visual measuring technology.
With the use of high-resolution thermal imaging, it is now clear to see and to perform accurate crude storge levels at time of capture. Data analytic firms can now provide their clients with more accurate information for investment opportunities based on market movements.
What Separates Us
What separates Hover Visions LLC from other thermal imaging platforms is the high-resolution thermal data platform. The common thermal image data resolution is 640 X 512. Hover Visions’ thermal imaging payload has a thermal image data resolution of 1280 x 1024; four times greater resolution than the conventional thermal resolution.
